The Chancery Market is getting into the Olympic spirit with a series of exciting events that promise fun for everyone! From July 26 to August 11, The Chancery Olympics will bring a lively atmosphere to Downtown Wilmington, offering everything from game tournaments to food challenges.
The festivities kick off on July 29 with a ping pong tournament in the brand-new Game Room. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just want to have some fun, this event is perfect for showcasing your skills. The tournament starts at 5 PM and is limited to 20 participants, so be sure to sign up at the Concierge Desk.
On August 5, the competition continues with a cornhole tournament, featuring 10 teams battling it out from 5 PM. It’s a great opportunity to gather some friends, enjoy the summer vibes, and maybe even win a prize!
For those who prefer eating over playing, The Chancery Loyalty Olympics offers a delicious way to get involved. Spend at least $10 at each of The Chancery’s vendors and bars between July 29 and August 11, collect stamps on your passport, and submit it by August 12 for a chance to win gift cards and other prizes. Passports are available at The Nectar Bar and Concierge Desk.
But the real test of endurance comes on August 10 with the Market St. Burger & Dog’s epic 6-patty burger challenge. If you think you have what it takes to devour a massive bacon cheeseburger, a pound of fries, a pickle, and a 20-ounce soda in just 15 minutes, this challenge is for you! The entry fee is $50, and the victor walks away with $50, a t-shirt, a gift card, and ultimate bragging rights.
Throughout The Chancery Olympics, visitors can also enjoy Olympic-themed drinks, catch all the action from the 2024 Olympic Games on big screens, and participate in various prize-winning opportunities.
