City Pools
Open from June 26th to August 17th, Wilmington pools have Red-Cross certified lifeguards, changing rooms, and showers. The pools are free to all during public hours! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. There are 5 public pools operated by the Parks and Rec Department:
Recently renovated and featuring 3 separate pools: 5-ft, 3-ft, and a baby pool. Open Sat-Sun & Tues-Thurs at 901 New Castle Ave, Wilmington, DE 19801.
Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Aquatic Center (formerly Prices Pool)
Fun fact: President Biden lifeguarded here in 1962! Open Fri-Sun & Tues-Wed at the corner of 26th St. & Speakman, Wilmington, DE 19802.
Dr. Foster M. Brown Community Pool
Open Thurs-Sun & Tues at 401 E. 7th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
William “Hicks” Anderson Community Center Pool
A great place to take swimming lessons or even water aerobics! This indoor pool is open Mon-Fri at 501 N Madison St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
P.S. DuPont Middle School Pool
A great place to get in some laps, this indoor pool is free to the public only during the summer. Open Mon-Fri at 701 W 34th St, Wilmington, DE 19802.

Spray Parks
Wilmington also operates many spray parks! They’re perfect if you don’t feel like committing to a pool day or the pools are too crowded and also for young kids. Open every day from 9am-6pm!
